Today the Norwegian Pavilion resumed stamping EXPO- passes. Much to the joy to the visitors at the Norway Pavilion.

Commissioner General Arild H. Blixrud signs the first passport.
- We are very happy to have resumed stamping of the EXPO-passes. Not only are they important for EXPO Shanghai, but they have a long traditions in World Expositions. The EXPO-pass is a good souvenir and also a fine way to help people remember all the impressions from EXPO, says Arild. H. Blixrud, Commissioner General, Norway at EXPO.
Prior to the opening of the pavilion today, a group of eager visitors had gathered outside the Norway pavilion, and in the first hour several hundreds passports were stamped with the Norway chop.
A short break
Norway at EXPO decided in early June to cease stamping EXPO passports due to bad behaviour and coarse language among some of the visitors. This added too much pressure on the guides in the pavilion. Norway has been in close dialogue with the Chinese EXPO Bureau to find a good solution how to resume stamping of EXPO-passes.
- We experienced that some visitors only came to get the stamp. This is something that we want to avoid. We have among other things moved the table for stamping further inside the pavilion making it a more integrated part of the exhibition. The new solution is something that we believe and hope that will work for both us and the audience, says Philip Lote Communication Director, Norway at EXPO.
